Every year my wife and I try and get away for trips to different areas of the UK. Out of all the places that we visit, we find ourselves returning down to Cornwall where we can explore so many different and stunning areas all within such close distance of each other. Whilst I cannot do justice to the entirety of the places that we have visited the following are an insight into some of the places that we have ventured on our journeys.
Walking the narrow-cobbled streets of the picturesque fishing harbor and seaside town of St Ives, overindulging at the St Ives Bakery, and relaxing any of the surrounding beaches was a long weekend not to be forgotten.
Enjoying a local brewed pint on the characterful Georgian harbor of Charlestown has become a regular stop off on our visits. Alternatively, walking along the coastal path of Padstow, renting bikes to go up the Camel Trail or exploring the beauty of Prideaux Place have also been particularly enjoyable days spent in our time in Cornwall.
Finally, we always make time to visit Mawgan Porth enjoying the stunning views and relaxing beach that feels so removed from the rest of the world, despite only being just down the road from Newquay.
It is a part of the world that has become so highly valued by us and one that we will certainly be returning to again.
